Description:

TEACHING

The recruited person will teach courses in the Linguistics Department
(Bachelor’s and Master’s level). The teaching at Bachelor’s level involves
both obligatory courses taught in the first year and optional courses taught
in the second and third year.  Teaching language: French.

He/she may also be invited to teach linguistics in the interfaculty “Teacher
training” programme or other courses in the field of Linguistics at the
University of Lille.

At the University of Lille, the Master's modules will mainly be those in the
programme "Fundamental linguistics and Corpus Linguistics". The programme at
BA and MA level is likely to evolve. The recruited person will participate in
the development of the new program.

RESEARCH

The recruited person will integrate the CNRS research group UMR STL 8163 at
the University of Lille as part of the thematic strand "Form and meaning".
His/Her research will concern at least one of the three following themes of
the research group: ‘cognition’, ‘interpretation’ or ‘representation’.

welcome applicants working on the semantics-pragmatics interface or the
semantics-discourse interface, with preferably an interest in the analysis of
corpora of spoken language using current methods in empirical linguistics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The recruited person is expected to work in collaboration with members of STL
and to contribute to the organization and development of the scientific
activities of the research group (organization of workshops or international
colloquiums, editorial activities, animation of seminars for the lab or for
the doctoral school in Human and Social Sciences). He/She will be particularly
called upon to supervise doctoral dissertations.

He/she may also be invited to take on some pedagogic or administrative
responsibilities within the Faculty of Humanities
