Meeting Description:

The Scandinavian Workshop on Applied Eye Tracking (SWAET) is an
interdisciplinary meeting place for graduate students, researchers, industry,
and others who use eye tracking to study different phenomena - including
visual perception, reading, translation, learning, marketing, usability,
driving, and many others - or to help people with disabilities.

The programme will include two keynote lectures, several sessions with three
to four talks of 20 minutes each, and one or two poster sessions. Several eye
tracking companies will present their latest products. The keynote speakers
will be Professor Reinhold Kliegl from the University of Potsdam, Germany, who
will be talking about his research on eye movements and reading, and Dr.
Monica Castelhano from Queen's University, Ontario, Canada, who will be
talking about her research on eye movements and natural scene perception.

The workshop is of interest to linguists working in psycholinguistics, reading
or translation research, or those with an interest in eye-tracking
methodology.

Call for Papers:

Scandinavian Workshop on Applied Eye Tracking (SWAET) August 23-24 2018 in
Copenhagen is now open. SWAET is an interdisciplinary meeting place for
graduate students, researchers, industry, and others who use eye tracking to
study different phenomena - including visual perception, reading, translation,
learning, marketing, usability, driving, and many others - or to help people
with disabilities. We call for abstracts within these and other areas with a
clear topical connection to eye movements. For details and submission, please
see http://www.tilmeld.dk/SWAET2018/abstract-submission.html . The deadline
for abstract submission is April 15, 2018. Decisions on the submissions will
be sent to the authors by May 31, 2018. All accepted and presented abstracts
will be published in the Journal of Eye Movement Research.
