Meeting Description:

The 1st Cognitive Science of Culture workshop will be held in Lisbon
(Portugal) on 21 and 22 June 2018, at Faculdade de Psicologia, ULisboa, with
the special theme “Literacy: an acculturation of the brain”. 

This workshop will address the relation between literacy acquisition and
cognition. It will be a venue for discussion of state-of-the-art cognitive
science research on the bidirectional relation between brain and mind and aims
at a small-scale and in-depth discussion between international leading
researchers in the field of Cognitive Science of Culture. This event will
count with Régine Kolinsky and José Morais (Free University of Brussels),
Silvia Brem (University of Zurich), Alexandre Castro-Caldas (Portuguese
Catholic University), São-Luís Castro (University of Porto), Jon A. Dunabeitia
(Universidade Nebrija), Falk Huettig (Max Planck Institute), Thomas Lachmann
(University of Kaiserslautern), João Oliveira Braga (Alpha and Beta
Institute), Manuel Perea (University of Valencia), and Alexandra Reis
(University of Algarve).

abstract (up to 200 words) for the poster session between March, 15 and May 1:
