Meeting Description:

This is the 6th congress organized by the Applied Linguistics Association of
Serbia (ALAS). Co-organizers are Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade,
and Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. This time the congress
takes place in Belgrade.

Organize

The 6th International Congress of Applied Linguistics Today - Language,
Literature and Interdisciplinarity
to be held on 12 - 13 October 2018, in Belgrade, Serbia.

The general theme includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

- Theoretical framework in applied linguistics
- Empirical research in applied linguistics
- Interdisciplinary research (applied ethnolinguistics, applied
geolinguistics, anthropolinguistics  etc.)
- Literacy in the 21st century
- Contrastive analysis and applied linguistics
- Content and language integrated learning (language and literature, history,
biology etc.)
- Applied linguistics and new technologies

 Abstracts of 200–250 words, in English  or Serbian should be sent as a Word
attachment to the following address: dpls.alas6 at gmail.com.  Please write
“Abstract ALT 6” in the subject line, and include the following information in
the body of the message (the attached abstract should not contain any data
that would identify the author): 

1. Author’s (and co-author’s) name and surname 
2. Title of the paper 
3. Author’s (and co-author’s) affiliation 
4. Author’s (and co-author’s) e-mail address 

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 1 June, 2018. Notification of
acceptance will be given by 30 June.

Registration fee:
- for ALAS members: 60 EU
- for other participants: 80 EU

Payments can be made in euro or dinars. Payment can be made following the
