Meeting Description:

The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) has the honour to announce the 1st
International Conference on Portuguese Language and Lusophone Relations
(LUSOCONF2018), to be held at the School of Education in Bragança, on the 19th
and 20th October 2018. The LUSOCONF2018 intends to be a space for wide
discussion of thematics in several relevant areas within the scope of
lusophony.


Call for Papers:

The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), through its School of Education,
announces the 1st International  Conference of Portuguese and Lusophone
Relations (LUSOCONF2018), hosted by the School of Education of the IPB, in
Bragança, from 19-20 October 2018. LUSOCONF2018 aims to be a space for wide
discussion on the representation of the Portuguese language in the world and
on the numerous issues relevant to Lusophone relations. 

Bearing in mind the development of a holistic approach to the Lusophone world
and the challenges that it faces, we want LUSOCONF2018 to be a dynamic forum.
In being aware of our history, we aim to develop proposals for and with the
future. In this sense, in addition to the Call for Papers, we also open a 
Call for arts (http://www.lusoconf.ipb.pt/call-for-arts) to promote Lusophone
artists and works of art at LUSOCONF2018 (additional information in Call for
Arts).

We welcome the submission of abstracts for any of the above-mentioned areas
(see thematic sessions). Abstracts may be submitted until the 31 of May 2018
(see abstract guidelines). For further information, please visit the
