Description:

University of Verona - Ph.D. positions in Modern Languages and Translation The
University of Verona has currently opened Ph.D. positions in the humanities,
including 3 positions for Modern Languages and Translation, within the Ph.D.
programme in Foreign Literatures, Languages and Linguistics. 

Selected Ph.D. candidates will receive a 3-year fellowship and we encourage
applications from international students. 

Information about candidacy can be found on the application website provided
below. Applications can be uploaded starting May 18th, 2018. The deadline for
online applications is June 18th, 2018. Only online applications through the
university application system are accepted (please do not send applications
via e-mail). 

The selection procedure for the track in Modern Languages and Translation
involves evaluation of the candidates' CV, their research project as well as
an interview (on request via skype). For details see the application website.
On this site, you can find information about the application procedures in the
subsection regarding the Ph.D. programme in Foreign Literatures, Languages and
Linguistics (coordinator: Stefan Rabanus), track in Modern Languages and
Translation. 

One of the three fellowships is reserved for a Ph.D. project in the domain of
'Digital Humanities' (concerning English Language and Linguistics or French
Language and Linguistics or Spanish Language and Linguistics). For a

Another fellowship is reserved for a Ph.D project “Historic development of the
Spanish terminology of science and technique” (only Spanish language and
linguistics). 

Candidates interested in these fellowships have to indicate their preference
in the application form. 
The third fellowship (concerning English Language and Linguistics or French
Language and Linguistics or Spanish Language and Linguistics) is not linked to
a specific project.
