Description:

The Department of Translation Studies at the University of Innsbruck, Austria,
invites applications for a six-year postdoctoral position. We seek candidates
with excellent research qualifications in the area of translation studies,
with a special focus on translation theory. The successful candidate is
expected to initiate and conduct research in a core translation-related topic
as well as to contribute to teaching (four hours per week) on both the
graduate and undergraduate levels, including the supervision of BA and MA
theses. Additional responsibilities include service on departmental and
university committees, organisation of conferences, and participation in exam
setting and assessment at all levels.

The following requirements are looked for in the successful candidate:
- Doctoral degree on a topic related to translation
- Evidence of an active research agenda beyond the doctoral degree
- Language proficiency: C2 in German plus C2 in any other of the working
languages covered by the department's study programmes
- Promising trajectory for grant acquisition
- Strong commitment to innovative teaching
- International experience
- Excellent teamwork skills
