The Journal of Pragmatics is delighted to announce the winners of the two
annual awards:

Jacob L. Mey and Hartmut Haberland Early Career Award - Marine Riou,
"Transitioning to a new topic in American English conversation: a multi-level
and mixed-methods account". Journal of Pragmatics 2017, Vol. 117: 88-105

Neal R. Norrick Special Issue Award - Wyke Stommel, Trena M. Paulus and David
Giles, "The Microanalysis of Online Data (MOOD)", Journal of Pragmatics,
Volume 115 (pp 37-129)

The Jacob L. Mey and Hartmut Haberland Early Career Award recognises the most
outstanding early career article published in the Journal of Pragmatics during
the previous 12 months; the winning article is made freely available for two
years. The Neal R. Norrick Special Issue Award is awarded for the most
outstanding special issue published in the Journal of Pragmatics during the
previous 12 months; the editorial introduction is made freely available for
two years.
