Description:

The Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at the University of
Delaware invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at
the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Syntax. Preference is given to
candidates who have a secondary specialization that leads to successful
collaboration with the current faculty or brings a new strength to the
research profile of the department. The position will commence September 1,
2019. The successful candidate will have a strong research program in syntax
and their secondary area and will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in
teaching. Candidates must be able to teach graduate and undergraduate courses
in syntax, general linguistics, and their secondary area of specialization.

Applicants for this position should have a PhD in Linguistics or a related
field, or should expect to complete their degree requirements prior to
appointment.

- A statement of teaching experience and philosophy (including evidence of
teaching ability if available), and 
- Three sample publications.

fullest consideration, all application materials should be submitted by that
date. Employment offers will be conditioned upon successful completion of a

Speech-Language Pathology), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics. The
Department is comprised of 13 full-time faculty and enrolls approximately 30
PhD students, 20 MA students, 320 undergraduate majors, and 60 minors.
