Meeting Description:

The First Heterotopic Junction Graduate Conference in Language, Literature and
Culture (HJC-1), which will take place on Saturday 13 April 2019, is now
calling for abstracts. This conference is open to all graduate students
globally (including advanced undergraduates who are progressing to
postgraduate studies) to submit research in the areas of linguistics,
literature and culture.


Call for Papers:

The First Heterotopic Junction Graduate Conference in Language, Literature and
Culture (HJC-1), which will take place on Saturday 13 April 2019, is now
calling for abstracts. This conference is open to all graduate students
globally (including advanced undergraduates who are progressing to
postgraduate studies) to submit research in the areas of linguistics,
literature and culture.

Each person may submit at most one single authored and one co-authored
abstract to HeterotopicJunction at gmail.com by 1 December 2018.

Abstracts must be written in English, within one A4 page including any cited
references, typed in Times New Roman font size 12, with margins of at least
2.54 cm. All abstracts must be submitted in WORD or PDF, with the author’s
last name and first name initials in the filename and prefixed by HJC-. E.g.
if your last name is Lee and your first name is Tai Man, then your filename
would be HJC-LEETM.

Abstracts, competitively reviewed and selected, would be allotted
approximately 20 minutes for presentation. All presentations are to be made in
English. The Best Paper Award would be given at the end of the conference.

Registration fees are waived for HJC-1 thanks to the joint sponsorship of the
Master of Arts in Literary and Comparative Studies (MALCS) and Master of Arts
in Language Studies (MALS) programmes at the Department of English, Hong Kong
Baptist University.
