Description:

Essential Functions: 
Responsible for academic and administrative oversight of Intensive English
Language (ILUNO) and International Professional Development (IPD) Programs,
including program and curriculum development, strategic planning, recruitment
and marketing, development of policies and procedures, and hiring,
supervision, and evaluation of staff. Serves as liaison to internal and
external constituents, including all UNO and UNMC colleges and units,
sponsoring agencies, grants/contract partners, foreign and US governments, and
international education organizations.

Oversee the development of regular Intensive English Language (ILUNO) and
International Professional Development (IPD) Programs programming and staffing
to ensure that learning objectives and student satisfaction are achieved.
Develop, negotiate, and implement customized training programs. Develop and
implement policies and procedures to ensure consistency in delivery in all
programs. Consult with UNO and UNMC colleges and departments on English
proficiency requirements for custom and regular programs as needed, and
develop remedial program offerings as requested, especially through the
implementation of English language pre-assessment techniques.

Market Intensive English Language (ILUNO) and International Professional
Development (IPD) Programs to potential contractors and participants. Design
innovative products that meet the needs of various audiences, including
internal constituents such as UNO and UNMC colleges, departments and other
units. Build and utilize a network of corporate and agency contacts, locally
and internationally, to grow and diversify ILUNO and IPD Programs. Serve as
liaison to external constituents, including sponsoring agencies, grantors,
contract partners, foreign and US governments, and international education
organizations.

Hire, supervise, train and evaluate instructional and support staff. Conduct
meetings and workshops for communication and professional growth or arrange
external professional development as needed. Create and implement strategic
planning initiatives that align with the university and the department, and
track initiatives.

Oversee the scheduling of classes and monitoring of participant progress.
Supervise admission, registration, testing and placement, orientation, housing
and support services for IPD participants. Supervise development and
maintenance of reports and records especially for ILUNO accreditation
reporting.

Collaborate with other campus units, including Enrollment Management and
Graduate Studies, to oversee/consult on (as appropriate) admissions policies
(ILUNO and IPD), collaborative and comprehensive recruitment plans, and
international marketing materials. 

Required Education: 
Master’s Degree. Required Experience: Two years’ teaching and/or
administrative experience in an ESL or ESP program for adult learners.
Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
  
Preferred Education: 
Ph.D Degree but will consider an equivalent combination of education and
experience.

Preferred Experience: 
Experience living or working overseas. Study of foreign language(s).

Salary: 
Commensurate with Experience.
