John Benjamins is pleased to announce that as of 2019, Marie-Aude Lefer
(University of Louvain) and Barbara De Cock (University of Louvain) will
succeed Signe Oksefjell Ebeling (University of Oslo) and Hilde Hasselgard
(University of Oslo) as editors of the journal Languages in Contrast. Laura
Aguiar (University of Louvain) has been appointed as the new editorial
assistant. Signe Oksefjell and Hilde Hasselgard will remain a member of the
board.

Languages in Contrast publishes contrastive studies of two or more languages.
Any aspect of language may be covered, including vocabulary, phonology,
morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, text and discourse, stylistics,
sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics.

Languages in Contrast welcomes interdisciplinary studies, such as those that
make links between contrastive linguistics and translation, lexicography,
corpus linguistics, language teaching and learning, genre studies and cultural
studies. However, the main emphasis of each study should be on the comparison
of languages.

Languages in Contrast provides a home for contrastive linguistics. It enables
advocates of different theoretical linguistic frameworks to publish in a
single publication to the benefit of all involved in contrastive research.

Languages in Contrast provides a forum to explore the empirical and
theoretical status of the field; stimulates research into a wide range of
languages; and helps to consolidate and develop the field of contrastive
linguistics.
