Call Deadline: 09-Dec-2018

Meeting Description:

The workshop is concerned with digital approaches to teaching and learning
classical and other historical languages. Computer-assisted language learning
(CALL/iCALL) is becoming more and more frequent in teaching and learning
modern languages. At the same time, more and more high quality historical
corpora and other resources are becoming available. This workshop aims at
bridging the gap between CALL and historical corpora.

2nd Call for Papers:

Due to popular request, the deadline for abstract submission to our CALL
conference in Berlin has been extended to December 9. Notification of
acceptance will be given by the end of December.

As a reminder, the conference topic is ''Digital Approaches to Teaching
Historical Languages''.

Since the remaining timespan of about two weeks might be quite short for some
you, please note that we also accept shorter abstracts (compared to the the
previous recommendation of 2 pages / 8.500 characters).

Talks will be given 30-minute slots including discussion. The workshop
languages are German and English; either language can be used for abstracts
and talks. Abstracts will be peer reviewed.

Abstracts should be submitted to dattel2019 at lists.hu-berlin.de

Invited speakers:

Professor Peter J. Anderson, Grand Valley State University, Michigan
Prof. Dr. W. Detmar Meurers, Eberhard Karls Universität, Tübingen
