Description:

A permanent position of Associate Professor of Multilingualism with an
emphasis on Applied Psycholinguistics is available at the Department of
Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies, University of Oslo. Further information

The Department seeks to recruit an Associate Professor with excellent research
qualifications who will contribute to interdisciplinary research on
multilingualism carried out at the Department’s Center of Excellence,
MultiLing. A special emphasis will be given to documented research experience
in multilingualism with a specialization in multilingualism and applied
psycholinguistics.

The successful candidate is expected to initiate and lead research, supervise
PhD candidates, participate in teaching and in exam setting and assessment at
all levels, strengthen the work in MultiLing’s socio-cognitive laboratory and
to carry out administrative duties in accordance with the needs of the
department and participate in activities such as workshops, seminars and
conferences.  

The candidate is also expected to strengthen the relevant research areas
addressed at the Department’s Center of Excellence, MultiLing, to contribute
to and participate in the various activities organized by the Centre and the
Department, such as workshops, seminars, and conferences, and to be an active
member of the MultiLing team and the Department.
