Description:

The Department of World Languages invites applications for a tenure-track
Assistant Professor position in Foreign Language Methods / Bilingual Education
starting Fall 2019. ABD welcome to apply but PhD in hand by August 28, 2019.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of foreign language and
bi-lingual pedagogy and be versed in ACTFL and TESOL standards and practices.
Teaching responsibilities include: foreign language and bi-lingual education
methodology courses, and courses in at least one commonly taught language
(French preferred). K-12 certification and K-12 teaching experience desirable.

The successful candidate will demonstrate promise for research in the areas of
foreign language pedagogy and bilingual education. Foreign nationals must
obtain US work authorization prior to first day of employment, but EMU will
sponsor the H1B-Visa.
