Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
(New Brunswick) invites applicants for a tenure‐track / tenured position in
linguistics with a specialization in phonological theory, at the level of
Assistant Professor or beginning Associate Professor.  We welcome applicants
with additional interest/specialization in laboratory phonology, computational
phonology, and/or modeling phonological variation; we also welcome applicants
whose research focuses on languages other than English.

The ideal candidate will complement and build on existing strengths within the
department with respect to research, teaching, and advising at the graduate
and undergraduate levels, and will be eager to interact with students and
faculty from the broader linguistics, language, and cognitive science
community at Rutgers. The candidate will be expected to teach at the
undergraduate and graduate levels.

Salary will be commensurate with experience. The position will begin on
September 1, 2019. 

Applicants must have completed all degree requirements for a Ph.D. in
linguistics or a related field by August 31, 2019.
