Meeting Description:

The central theme of this conference squares with the recent and growing
interest in the fundamental problem of development of science as a social
institute and part of the cultural subsystem of the society in the
globalization era. We are keen to hear about ways of integrating into the
international academic community and problems universities encounter in this
process. The conference invites specialists in history, philosophy, sociology,
linguistics, culture, politics, communication and science studies to adopt an
interdisciplinary perspective to various questions, including:

1. Problems of cross-cultural communication in academic community and
approaches to solving them.
2. Modern technologies of promoting research journals. 
3. Organizing international conferences: from simulacra to optimal efficiency.
4. Developing models of academic mobility.
5. Enhancing cooperation of universities and academic institutions. 
6. ''Flights cut short'' of international research projects of
pre-revolutionary and Soviet Russian scholars. 

Papers are allocated 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for
discussion.


Call for Papers:

Participants are kindly requested to submit their papers to be published in
the Proceedings of the conference, following the guidelines below:

1. Submissions should be sent as an email attachment in MS Word format to
conf73ulspu at mail.ru by Friday, January 4, 2019. 

2. Papers should be 8 (minimum) to 15 (maximum) and clearly present a research
question/objective, literature review, methodological approach, results,
conclusions and sources.

3. Please send the articles in the format .doc (Word 2003) or RTF with the
following layout:
all margins 2.0 cm, space between lines: 1.5, font for the text: Times New
Roman, size 14 points, block alignment, indent the first paragraph line
(1,25cm).
 
The first line will have the title of the article in bold (lower-case font,
justified left), the name of the author in bold, affiliation, the city and the
country in italics (all justified left) will follow. There is to be an
abstract of the article (around 500 words) in the language of the paper and in
the English language and key words (5-7).  Please, do not insert numbers of
pages; do not write chapters and subchapters.

No publication fee is required.
