Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of California, Santa Barbara
invites applications for a qualified temporary Lecturer to teach course(s) in
computational linguistics and potentially general linguistics. To learn more
about the department, see the department link above. 

The Lecturer will teach an advanced undergraduate course in computational
linguistics in the Winter 2019 or Spring 2019 quarter. The successful
candidate may also have the opportunity to teach other courses that support
the department’s undergraduate programs, including classes currently listed in
the UCSB general catalog and/or special-topic courses proposed by the
applicant; these courses may be offered in Winter 2019 or Spring 2019.

Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree in Linguistics and have at least one
year teaching college-level linguistics courses. A Ph.D. in Linguistics is
preferred but not required. The department is especially interested in
candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic
community through research, teaching and service.

teaching computational linguistics as well as any additional courses they may
be interested in teaching. Applicants should also provide contact information
