guest-edited special issue per volume. Proposals are considered at any time
and should be sent to appliedprag at gmail.com (cc: to Naoko Taguchi
[taguchi at andrew.cmu.ed] and Zia Tajeddin [zia_tajeddin at yahoo.com]). The
subject of the email should be ''Special Issue Proposal for Applied
Pragmatics.'' Inquiries in advance of the submission of a full proposal are
also welcome, and these should be sent to the same email addresses.

Experienced researchers in applied pragmatics are welcome to submit special
issue proposals around the following topics or other related topics which fall
within the scope of Applied Pragmatics. The topics include, but are not

- Aims and scope, including subtopics, of the proposed special issue
- Novelty and relevance of the proposed topic to the aims and scope of Applied
Pragmatics and the interest of Applied Pragmatics' reader base

manuscripts of the highest scholarly standard will receive final acceptance to
be included in the special issue

the final acceptance of 5-6 manuscripts
- Guest editor's/editors' research background (main publications related to
the proposed topic) and bio data (in a max. of 100 words)
- Guest editor's/editors' affiliation and contact details

- Ensuring coherence among the manuscripts to be included in the special issue
- Ensuring that the author guidelines of Applied Pragmatics are observed by
the authors and that the finally accepted manuscripts are of high academic
