Applications and nominations are invited for the following
substantiation-track faculty position:

Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (General Linguistics/Corpus
and Empirical Linguistics/Pedagogical Linguistics) Department of Linguistics
and Translation [Ref. C/535/09]

Duties : 
- Teach and supervise students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; 
- Undertake administrative duties in course development, student activities
and academic programme management; and 
- Conduct quality research.

Requirements : 
- A PhD in Linguistics or related disciplines, with ability to undertake
research and teaching in Linguistics and Language Application, particularly in
the following areas: general linguistics, corpus and computational
linguistics, semantics and pragmatics, second language acquisition and
learning, sociolinguistics, phonetics and phonology, psycholinguistics and
neurolinguistics. 
- Excellent teaching and professional experience with international exposure
and establishment, strong research and administrative ability, and a proven
record of publications are preferred.

Salary and Conditions of Service:
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual
performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and
dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial
appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
