Description:

At DefinedCrowd, we make machines smarter for Fortune 500 companies. Our focus
is on improving Artificial Intelligence technologies through natural language
processing – and we need native speakers to help train these new models.

We are searching for a native Thai linguist originally from Thailand with
cultural knowledge of the region.

This job will consist of reading a variety of texts – anything from social
media posts about Beyoncé to dense news articles – and then identifying the
relevant entities. A strong attention to detail is imperative, as you will be
reading for implied context that a machine can’t detect. You will then be
matching these entities to specific web pages.

Being familiar with Thai culture is required; the articles you’ll be reading
are written by other native Thai speakers and will cover all topics
imaginable. Being familiar with popular brands, people, companies, and slang
in Thailand will help greatly for this project. 

We expect this project to last until November. All work is completed remotely
and there are no set working hours. The most important requirement is that you
can commit 20 hours every week.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Native Thai linguist that grew up in the Thailand
- Fluent or greater English communication skills – the instructions and
training will be in English
- Accommodate a 20-hour work week
- Familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
