Meeting Description:

SULC is an annual full-day conference. It is an opportunity for undergraduate
students from all schools, here and abroad, to engage with their peers and
present findings from their current research projects. 

Each student researcher will have the opportunity to speak about their work
for about 10-15 min followed by a question period. We usually invite a guest
speaker as well, generally a professor, to speak about their work. Faculty
from the Centre of French and Linguistics will be present to adjudicate and
students with the top 3 presentations will be awarded monetary prizes.


Call for Papers:

Abstract Requirements:

One (1) page abstract (300 words max.) per research project. We accept
submissions relating to any linguistics subfield, including phonetics,
phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics,
neurolinguistics, computational linguistics, historical linguistics, language
acquisition, language variation, multilingualism, comparative analysis, etc. 

*Maximum of one (1) sole author and one (1) co-authored project per person. We
accept both in-progress and completed research. 

Details and Deadline for Submissions: 

1. Must be sent in via e-mail as attachments in MS word or PDF format to
linguisticsclub.utsc at gmail.com by 11:59PM, January 10, 2020. 
2. Please include the name(s) and affiliation(s) of the researchers in your
email
