Description:

The Institute for Natural Language Processing (IMS), Stuttgart University, is
inviting applications for a  Junior Professorship in Computational
Linguistics.

The successful candidate has a research profile in computational linguistics
that is internationally visible and shows a good fit with the institute [1].
They should have substantial knowledge of the core concepts of computational
linguistics (in several of the area of phonetics/phonology, morphology/syntax,
semantics, discourse/dialogue, pragmatics, computational psycholinguistics,
language technology) and should be familiar with diverse methodological
approaches to language processing.

We expect potential to obtain third-party funding as well as openness towards
interdisciplinary collaboration (with computer science, linguistics, digital
humanities). In teaching, we expect contributions to the German and English
language study programs of institute and department. 

The position is remunerated according to salary group W1, Baden-Württemberg
tariff [2,3]. The requirements for employment listed in §51 Baden-Württemberg
university law apply.
