Full Title: Babel: The Language Magazine

Linguistic Field(s): General Linguistics

Call for Papers:

Babel is a quarterly print and digital magazine that covers languages and
linguistics. It aims to make contemporary research in linguistics interesting
and accessible for a non-specialist audience.

Babel is seeking contributions for our forthcoming issues. We publish articles
on all linguistic disciplines, the only requirement being that contributors
make linguistic research accessible to our enthusiastic but non-specialist
readership.

We are particularly keen to receive contributions for our regular features:
Languages of the World introductions to particular languages, Lives in
Language profiles of significant linguists, Meet the Professionals interviews
with those who use linguistics in their career and pull-out posters that
illustrate and problematise linguistic issues (e.g. the places of
articulation, endangered languages, Cognitive Grammar).

We are also planning a new feature looking at the work of early-career
researchers. If you would be interested in discussing your work for this
feature, please get in touch.
Articles are between 1,000 and 3,500 words in length. Interested writers can
set their own deadlines. Full guidelines are available at babelzine.co.uk/faq.

Please contact us at editorsbabelzine.com with any queries or to discuss an
idea for submission.
