Description:

The Research Training Group “Nominal Modification”, Faculty of Modern
Languages (FB 10), Goethe University Frankfurt, offers a four and a half year
position of a Scientific Coordinator (E13 TV-G-U, 50% part-time) starting from
April 1st 2019. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the
collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to Goethe-University.

Responsibilities:
The role of the scientific coordinator is to support the spokesperson in
scientific coordinative duties. The coordinator is responsible for the
coordination of the training program (course program, colloquiums, retreats)
and will take care of planning of scientific events, workshops and guest
lectures. He/she will also be responsible for the coordination of
public-relations activities and the webpage of the RTG. The successful
candidate will be the main contact person for all participating PIs and PhDs
students and ensure effective and timely exchange of information.

Application Requirements: 
The candidate should hold a PhD in linguistics or equivalent qualification. An
excellent standard of written and spoken English is mandatory, and German
would be an advantage. The candidate should enjoy working in an independent
and pro-active manner. Excellent organisational, communication and
interpersonal skills are essential.
