FLC Language for Life Award

The FLC Language for Life Award will be given to individuals, groups,
communities, or organizations who can demonstrate that they are doing work
that uses understandings of language and/or linguistics to benefit others.

The purpose of the Language for Life Award is to recognise and encourage
projects in Subaltern Linguistics that empower people by using understandings
of socio-semiotics.

In addition to recognition of their work, up to 5 Awardees will be given a
cash award of AUD $200 each.

The 2019 Language for Life Award winners will be announced at FLC 2019.

Language for Life Award winners do not have to attend the FLC conference to
win; however, they will be asked to submit a 10 minute video for publication
by FLC. This video will document their project in more detail and will be
