Meeting Description:

The Organising Committee of CILiDi’19 is delighted to introduce you to the 1st
call for papers for the Conference of Digital Linguistics. The event will take
place on 29, 30 and 31 May 2019 at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, in the
Campus Cartuja (University of Granada, Spain). The CILiDi’19 Conference has
been granted the ACE (Academic Excellence Conference) seal as proof of the
high quality of its academic contents. 

The plenary speakers who have confirmed their participation are the following:

Dr. Juan Santana Lario (Universidad de Granada) 
Dr. Pascual Pérez Paredes (Universidad de Cambridge) 
Dra. María José Varela Salinas (Universidad de Málaga) 
 Dra. Miriam Bouzouita (Universidad de Gante) 



Call for Papers:

We would like to invite you to disseminate the conference’s call for papers to
other academic and professional forums which may be interested in its
contents. All necessary information will be found at www.cilidi.es.

Abstract Submission Deadline: 25 March 2019

We invite 20-minute proposals of papers, 90-minute workshop presentations and
posters on the following general topics, considering the specific topics
listed below: 

- The teaching of languages and literatures: CALL/MALL/TELL, educational Apps,
serious video games, simulators and virtual reality, gamification with digital
resources, MOOC, social networks and education. 

- Translation and Interpreting: localization of video games, translation Apps,
automatic translation, interpreting and technology, today’s terminology and
translation, accessible translation, transcreation. 

- Discourse analysis: communication in the digital era, corpus analysis and
tools, multimodal analysis and tools, social networks and the dissemination of
information, the language of video games and their users, new linguistic
genres.

Publication Venues:

Works presented at the International Conference on Digital Linguistics
(CILiDi'19) will be eligible to be published either in a monographic volume
(SPI, Scholarly Publishing Indicators) or in special issues of selected
scientific journals.

Participants will be contacted after the conference to discuss the possible
venues for their work.

Names of the journals and the publishing house of the monographic volume will
be announced during the conference.
