The second version of the Metathesis in Language database at Ohio State is now
available at: https://metathesisinlanguage.osu.edu/

This site contains a revised and expanded database of all reported cases of
metathesis in the world's languages. There are currently 117 cases in over one
hundred languages. Each case entry includes a summary that describes the
pattern, as well as examples, comments, and references, as available. The
database is searchable, and the site also has a bibliography of linguistic
research on metathesis.

To report a new case of metathesis that is not in the database, or to submit
corrections, please contact the current site maintainer listed in the Contacts
page.
