Call Deadline: 20-Sep-2019

Call for Proposals:
Special Issue for July 2021

Studies in Second Language Acquisition (SSLA) is now entertaining proposals
for the thematic issue of Volume 43:3, to be published in July 2021. Thematic
issues of SSLA focus on areas of current interest and are an excellent venue
to bring together in one issue numerous approaches to a problem or methodology
in the field of SLA. For examples, see previous special issues of SSLA.

A proposal should include a rationale (two pages plus references) for the
thematic issue and abstracts (250 - 300 words) from the authors of the
manuscripts that the editor intends or expects to include. Note that the
articles in a special issue can belong to any of the article types published
in SSLA. These include: Research article, Critical Commentary, Research
Report, Replication Studies, and State-of-the-Art Review.

Proposal submissions are due by email to ssla at msu.edu by September 20, 2019.
Other manuscript and production deadlines are as follows:
September 20, 2019: Proposals due in SSLA office
October 25, 2019: Final decision reached
February 21, 2020: Submission of first-draft manuscripts to SSLA via
ScholarOne
September 25, 2020: All final manuscripts due, submitted via ScholarOne

Please feel free to distribute this announcement to interested colleagues. If
any other questions arise, please feel free to contact us at ssla at msu.edu.
