Meeting Description:

The Department of Romance Studies of the University of Vienna is happy to
announce that the second edition of the ''Jornades de la Lingüística Catalana
a Viena'' will take place on November 15, 2019.

The focus of this year‘s programm is Catalan morphosyntax. The aim is to
discuss the particular properties of Catalan and see how they can inform our
understanding of broader grammatical universals.

The following speakers have confirmed their participation:

Antonio Fábregas (Universitetet i Tromsø)
Susann Fischer (Universität Hamburg)
Amelia Jiménez-Gaspar (Universitat de les Illes Balears)

Call for Papers:

The Workshop will feature a poster session. We invite abstract submissions for
poster presentation on topics concerned with Catalan morphosyntax from a
descriptive, theoretical or empirical perspective.

Please send your anonymous two-page abstract (A4, 2.5cm margins on all side,
12pt font) to the workshop organizer (anna.kocher at univie.ac.at). Abstracts can
be submitted in Catalan or English. 

Important Dates:

Abstract submission for posters: September 15, 2019
Decision on poster acceptance: September 20, 2019
The workshop will take place on November 15, 2019  in Vienna, Austria
