Open Rank Tenure Track Position in Linguistics & Speech-Language
Pathology/Communicative Disorders

The Department of English at California State University, San Bernardino
invites applications for an open rank tenure-track position (Assistant
Professor or Associate  Professor) to begin August 2020.  

We seek a specialist in Linguistics preferably with expertise in Communication
Sciences and Disorders.  The successful candidate will teach in a newly
revised undergraduate and graduate curriculum in a large, diverse, and dynamic
English department that includes Linguistics, Literature, Rhetoric and
Composition, and Creative Writing. We are also seeking to develop degree
programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with an emphasis in
bilingualism. The successful candidate will help develop these new programs
and will teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in linguistics,
and in other areas, based on sub-specialization and departmental programmatic
needs. 

A Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, Linguistics, Language Science, Communication
Sciences and Disorders, Psycholinguistics, Speech-Language Pathology, or
closely-related field is required by time of appointment. Requirements include
evidence of promise in professional activities, evidence of a commitment to
excellence in teaching, and evidence of a commitment to service to the
University.
