Meeting Description:

We are pleased to announce that Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University
will host the International Symposium of Young Scholars in Humanities for the
third time.

This year's main theme of the symposium is the century-long history of
Oriental Studies and Research in TSU.

The announcement of Oriental Studies as the main direction of the symposium in
2018 is connected to the 100th anniversary of the University. Oriental Studies
and Research has been taught since the foundation of TSU and has its
distinctive traditions and scientific schools. The first university in the
Caucasus region is involved in international scientific discussions,
establishing high standards of research and teaching in different many
directions, including Oriental Studies.

The symposium will help young scholars in the Humanities to demonstrate their
own research results and help with their internationalization. In addition,
the symposium will give the speakers opportunity to prepare a high-quality
publication and publish it in the reviewed collection of the symposium that
will be accessible both electronically and in a printed form. The symposium
will reveal the best presenters and their authors will be given symbolic
awards.

Working languages: Georgian, English, (Russian, as necessary)

The symposium is open for researchers in the Humanities and its neighboring
fields.

The main directions of the Symposium are:

History and Archeology
Ethnology / Anthropology
Language and Literature
Philosophy and Religion
Culture and Art
Interdisciplinary Studies


Call for Papers:

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another
journal or conference. In your abstracts, please, write a short summary of the
key points of your research; your abstract summary is a way to introduce
readers to your research topic, the questions that will be answered, the
process you took - Research methods and data processing, participants of your
research (if there are any) and any findings or conclusions you drew. Also,
help researchers find your work in databases by listing 3-5 keywords from your
paper after your summary (on the next line), list your keywords that stand out
in your research. 

The word limit of the abstracts: between 250-300 words. Please, do not include
any personal information in the body of your Abstracts! In case of any
