Description:

The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of
Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a
full-time, time-limited, nine-month, non-tenure accruing Visiting Lecturer in
Korean Language and Literature, beginning August 16, 2019.  

Duties: 
- Teach 3-4 undergraduate language classes per semester; 
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth articulation across the levels
of language instruction and by participating in course design and creation,
and 
- Provide extracurricular support of the program through service that includes
placement or proficiency testing, weekly language tables, and other activities
relating to extracurricular Korean language use.  

Compensation: 
- Salary is competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience, and
includes a full benefits package.  

Qualifications:

Requirements: 
M.A. degree or higher in Korean language and culture or other relevant area,
including second-language acquisition, linguistics, and language pedagogy.
Other requirements include native or near-native proficiency in Korean
language and English, and at least one year of experience teaching Korean
language at a college/university level in the United States.

but the search will remain open until the position is filled. Applications
received after July 1, 2019 may be considered at the discretion of the
committee.
