Description:

The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics, in The College of
Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University, invites applications for a
full-time, three-year appointment as non-tenure track, Assistant Teaching
Professor in English to Speakers of Other Languages, beginning August 19,
2019.  Two positions are available.

The successful candidates will teach a 4/4 load. Additional administrative
duties as assigned by department Chair, including but not limited to placement
exam administration, professional development participation, advising, and
committee service. Ph.D. in TESOL or Applied Linguistics with a TESOL
Concentration, or related field, required. Experience in university-level
TESOL instruction required.

The department is interested in individuals whose training and experience has
prepared them to contribute to the College’s and the University’s commitment
to diversity and inclusion in higher education.
