Meeting Description:

The series of ConsILR conferences have begun in 2001, trough the initiative of
a group of researchers which had as principal goal to foster the collaboration
between linguists and computer scientists with the intend to develop advanced
language technologies and promote the study of natural language by using
formal and digital approaches.

The proceedings of the ConsILR conferences started to be printed beginning
with the 2006 edition and a series of 3 consecutive proceedings, those of the
editions 2014, 2015, 2016 have been indexed by Clarivate Analytics (former ISI
Thomson). The proceedings of the last edition, 2018, and the one of this year
event will also be sent for indexing immediately after this year event.
We invite papers presenting original and unpublished research in all areas
related to Linguistic Resources and Tools for Processing Natural Language.
Submitted papers can include descriptions of complete, in progress or
theoretical research work; case studies, demos and review papers are also
encouraged.


Call for Papers:

We invite papers discussing original and unpublished research in all areas
related to Linguistic Resources and Tools for Processing Natural Language.
Submitted papers can include descriptions of complete, in progress or
theoretical research work; case studies, demos and review papers are also
encouraged. We call for contributions that range from theoretical and applied
linguistics to computational models, resources and technologies related to any
language. Research evidencing peculiarities of the Romanian spoken or written
language per se or in contrast with other languages are also encouraged.

- Constantin Orăsan – University of Wolverhampton, UK;
- Ștefan Trăușan-Matu – Faculty of Automation, Control and Computer
Engineering, Politehnica University of Bucharest & RACAI;
 
Submission:

We invite submissions of papers representing original, previously unpublished
research. The full papers must be written in English and have 10 or 12 pages,
including all text, figures and references.
For all submissions, abstracts (authors, title, 2-3 paragraphs) must be
submitted by September 9, 2019 (AoE) through EasyChair
(https://profs.info.uaic.ro/~consilr/index.php/call_for_papers/). In order to
better administrate the reviewing process, it is mandatory to submit the
abstract of the paper. The abstract can still be modified after the abstract
submission deadline.
The full paper cannot be uploaded if the abstract is missing by the abstract
submission date. It is optional to submit the full paper as part of the
abstract submission. The deadline for the full paper submission is September
23, 2019 (AoE).
As in previous years, all papers accepted will be published in a volume at the
“Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University Publishing House. Volumes from previous
ConsILR editions have been indexed in ISI Proceedings. The volume for ConsILR
2019 edition will also be sent to Clarivate Analytics (former ISI Thomson) for
evaluation towards indexing in ISI Proceedings, after the conference.
To ensure high quality, all papers will be thoroughly reviewed by the ConsILR
2019 Program Committee. Papers submitted to other conferences or journals must
state this fact. If a paper will appear in another conference or journal, it
must be withdrawn from ConsILR2019.
At least one author of each paper must register using the registration form to
have the paper published in the ConsILR2019 Proceedings. All accepted papers
must be presented at the conference by one of the authors.

Fee and registration:

The full conference fee is 250 RON (approx. 55 Euro) for early registration
(before October 10th) and 350 RON (approx. 75 Euro) for late registration, and
it includes: access to conference sessions, conference materials, a copy of
the conference volume, coffee breaks, lunch on 19 and 20 November and the
festive dinner. The fee is per participant (including long-distance), not per
author.
A number of rooms have been booked in the University’s premises for ConsILR
participants (details in the Registration Form). Other more exquisite
accommodations can be obtained at supplementary costs (please address requests
to the organizers for hints). It is also possible to ask additional
accommodation for accompanying persons.

Important dates:

July 1, 2019 – Early registration opens;
September 9, 2019 – Submitting the abstracts (max 300 words);
September 23, 2019 – Submitting the papers;
October 7, 2019 – Receiving the reviews and announcing the accepted papers;
October 10, 2019 – Early registration deadline;
October 28, 2019 – Submitting the final form of the paper;
November 19, 2019 – Late registration – (in situ, at the opening of ConsILR
Conference);
November 19-20, 2019 – ConsILR Conference.
