Meeting Description:

The Conference on Language and Ecology: Towards a Shared Narrative in
Interdisciplinary Research 2019 will take place at Hong Kong Shue Yan
University on 5-7 September 2019. Following the ecological theme of last
year's successful conference ''The Anthropocene and Beyond: Towards a Shared
Narrative in Interdisciplinary Research'', the coming conference focuses on an
interdisciplinary approach to research on ecology with a focus on language.
The conference will provide a platform for scholars to share their research
work and ideas in areas spanning from biocultural diversity, biosemiotics,
language ecology, and language acquisition to ecological discourse analysis.


Call for Papers:

Abstract Submission Guidelines: 

Abstracts of 250-300 words (English) or 400-500 words (Chinese) can be
submitted to the conference e-mail: language_ecology at hksyu.edu by 30 April
2019. English and Chinese abstract templates are provided below.

Abstract Submission Guidelines:

The abstract must be submitted in Microsoft Word format with the following
information:
1. Abstract title
2. Name(s) of the author(s)
3. Author affiliation(s)
4. Contact email address(es)
5. Body of the abstract of around 250-300 words. Please outline the research
aim(s), method and research results. 
6. Three to five keywords

Detailed guidelines:

1. Title: 14-point Times New Roman, in bold capital and lowercase letters.
2. Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s): 12-point below the title, with
one blank line after the title. The Western naming convention, with given
names preceding surnames.
3. Contact email address(es): 12-point Times New Roman
4. Abstract: 11-point Times New Roman, single space, and justified, between
250 and 300 words.
5. Keywords: 11-point Times New Roman below the abstract, with one blank line
after the abstract.

中文論文提要事宜
1) 論文提要可用中文撰寫,字數以四百至五百字為限。電腦打字請用新細明體12點。
2) 提要須以MS Word檔準備, 並以電郵寄到下述電郵地址:language_ecology at hksyu.edu。
3) 提交論文提要時請注明:(1)論文題目;(2)作者姓名;(3)所屬單位;(4)通訊地址和電郵地址;(5) 研究目的, 研究方法與研究結果;(6)
關鍵字(三至五組) 。
