Studies
Language and Communication in the Digital Era: Challenges for Researchers,
Teachers and Practitioners 

Given the success of the previous conferences, the 11th edition of the
conference aims to continue the exchange of ideas on the impact of new
technologies on communication, to highlight the evolution of humanities and
social sciences in conjunction with technological innovation, and to identify
(new) trends in the language industry in the post web 2.0 era.

Conference tracks: Communication and public relations; Linguistics;
Translation studies; Foreign language teaching

Final Call for Papers:

The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to March, 10 2019.

Conference format
- Types of presentation: talk (20 minutes), workshop (60 minutes), panel
discussion (2 hrs.)
- Working languages: Romanian, English, French, or German

Publication:

Selected papers will be published in the volume Professional Communication and
Translation Studies (peer-reviewed, indexed by CEEOL, EBSCO - Communication
and mass media complete, Index Copernicus,Google Scholar, MLA, ULRICH'S,
Scipio and WorldCat) or in the Scientific Bulletin of Politehnica University
of Timisoara, Transactions on Modern Languages (peer-reviewed, indexed by
CEEOL, EBSCO, ERIHPLUS, Europeana, Google Scholar, MLA, ULRICH'S and
WorldCat). Languages of publication: English, French or German.

Registration deadlines* & conference fees**

Participants:

- Special early-bird (October 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019): 250 lei / 55 EUR
- Early bird (January 01, 2019 to January 31, 2019): 300 lei / 65 EUR
- Regular (February 01, 2019 to March 01, 2019): 350 lei / 75 EUR

- Guests (participants other than speakers): 255 lei / 55 EUR
- B.A. or M.A. students: 100 lei / 25 EUR
- Additional papers: 100 lei / 25 EUR

*Full registration implies payment of the conference fee and submission of the
registration form. Please note that on-site payment is not accepted.
**The fee covers the conference folder, the certificate of attendance, the
refreshments during coffee breaks, the lunch and the cocktail dinner on April
4, for one conference participant. If co-authors attend, each of them has to
register. Participants are kindly asked to cover all bank transfer costs.
Each participant may present no more than two papers at the conference. All
authors who will have their papers published receive one free copy of the
Proceedings. Additional copies will also be available for sale.
