Description:

The Language Acquisition Lab at the Department of Linguistics at MIT is
seeking a motivated and intellectually-engaged Research Assistant for studies
of first language acquisition in children. 

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in linguistics, cognitive science
or psychology, a strong interest in behavioral experimentation, experience
working with children ages 2-5, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced
environment. Special attention will be paid to candidates with programming and
statistical experience and coursework in syntax, semantics and pragmatics.
 
Responsibilities of the RA include: 
- Preparing stimuli, 
- Being a liaison between the lab and families, preschools and museums, 
- Testing participants, 
- Assisting with data analysis, 
- Training undergraduate research assistants,
- Maintaining and coordinating use of equipment and space.
