- Basic computer programming skills and knowledge of database software beneficial 


Description:
Ethnic Technologies is offering an opportunity to apply linguistic principles
to data analysis in a business setting. As an intern, your tasks will consist
of:

- Classifying first and last names by ethnicity
- Identifying morphological patterns within lists of names
- Defining rules from visible patterns
- Improving the logic that incorporates name intelligence into a predictive
software product
- Working with large data sets and developing data analysis skills
- Testing theoretical ideas with real-world data
- Applying language principles to industry-leading software.

This internship is 40 hours per week for 4-8 weeks between May 20, 2019 and
August 23, 2019. Exact dates are flexible.

Interns must work from the company office in South Hackensack, NJ.
