Description:

University of Verona - Ph.D. positions in Foreign languages and translation
The University of Verona has currently opened Ph.D. positions in the
humanities, including 3 positions for Foreign Languages and Translation,
within the Ph.D. programme in Foreign Literatures, Languages and Linguistics.
Selected Ph.D. candidates will receive a 3-year fellowship. We encourage
applications from international students.

Applications must be submitted electronically from 13 May 2019 until 12.00 pm
(midday) of 21st June 2019 (Italian local time) using exclusively the
application form available at www.univr.it/applicationphd. Only online
applications through the university application system are accepted (please do
not send applications via e-mail).

The selection procedure for the track in Foreign Languages and Translation
involves evaluation of the candidates' CV, their research project as well as
an interview (on request via skype). For details see the application website.
To be valid, the application MUST therefore include a research project.

One of the three fellowships is reserved for a Ph.D. project in the domain of
'Digital Humanities'. For a description of possible projects in Foreign

Another fellowship is reserved for the Ph.D. project ''Studies on Chinese
Vernacular Lexicography in Ming and Qing dynasties''. For a description of

The third fellowship can concern the domain of Foreign Languages and
Translation, and specifically one of the following languages: French, English,
Chinese, Spanish.
