Linguistic Field(s): Cognitive Science

Call Deadline: 01-Jul-2019

Meeting Description:

The purpose of this workshop is to bring together researchers who study the
neural organization of syntax. Based on research with both neurotypical and
aphasic participants, we seek to get a snapshot of the state-of-the-science
and, crucially, to identify future directions for research in the area in a
two-day meeting abut the neurofunctional architecture of syntax and its
components, neurocognitive interfaces between syntax and other linguistic and
domain-general processing systems, and about what seem to be the most useful
and informative methodologies for investigating syntactic processing.

Call for Papers:

The meeting will also include a poster session. Abstracts of original,
unpublished work on the brain and syntax are invited (maximum 1000 words
[excluding references], one figure and one table).

Please submit to:
https://sites.northwestern.edu/internationalbrainandsyntaxthinktank/ by July
1, 2019. Best posters will be selected for a poster blitz platform
presentation!
