Meeting Description:

NEURodegeneration And Language (NEURAL 2019) is a special session/workshop on
language neurology which will take place in the context of ExLing 2019 in
Lisbon, Portugal, 27 September 2019, under the auspices of Centro de
Linguística da Universidade de Lisboa.

The special session on Neurodegeneration and Language aims to advance our
knowledge on the effectiveness of language communication and the development
of experimental methods for the analysis and processing of speech and
language.

2nd Call for Papers:

The NEURAL 2019 aims to advance our knowledge on language disorders and the
development of experimental methods for the analysis and processing of speech
and language (in a broad sense). Current research from computational
linguistics (CL), natural language processing (NLP), and speech acoustics
enable the analysis of written data and spoken language which are central
areas of the special session. The programme will contain a combination of oral
and poster papers on main areas of language disorders as well as group
discussions, and attendees will have possibilities of ample discussions among
ExLing 2019 participants.

Submission of 4-page papers related to the above aims of the special session
