About the Role:
Our hugely successful teams are growing and we’re searching for 2 developers
to join us and share our success. We require people with experience of NLP
(natural language processing), computational linguistics, and language
technology, to work on a range of projects including the development of new
multilingual linguistic corpora and related resources. Other projects
undertaken by the team use linked data, semantic technologies, and machine
learning for automating language data creation.

You’ll have proven experience in software development for the creation of NLP
tools or language resources (e.g., corpora, lexicons). We expect you to enjoy
problem solving and sharing what you’ve learnt, as well as learning from your
peers. You should appreciate working with a variety of technological resources
and from different methodologies, and have enough experience to pick the
appropriate tool for the job at hand.

About You:

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Linguistics or
similar; or several years of experience in the field
- Proven experience in one or more areas within NLP (POS tagging,
lemmatization, parsing, semantic analysis)
- Familiarity with corpus building projects
- Experience with quantitative, machine learning-based and/ or graph-based
approaches to linguistic data
- Good programming skills in Python (some Java experience would also be
beneficial)
- Effectiveness in the transfer of technical expertise to technical and
non-technical stakeholders
