Description:

The Centre for French and Linguistics at the University of Toronto Scarborough
invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in
Psycholinguistics, in the area of Sentence Processing. 
The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor, and will commence
on July 1, 2020, or shortly thereafter.

Applicants must have earned a PhD degree in Psycholinguistics or a related
area, with a demonstrated exceptional record of excellence in research and
teaching. 

Candidates will have an established international reputation and will be
expected to sustain and lead innovative and independent research at the
highest international level, and to maintain an outstanding, competitive, and
externally funded research program.

Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence as demonstrated by a
record of sustained high impact contributions and publications in top-ranked
and field relevant journals, the submitted research statement, presentations
at significant conferences, distinguished awards and accolades, and other
noteworthy activities that contribute to the visibility and prominence of the
discipline, as well as strong endorsements from referees of high standing.

Evidence of excellence in teaching should include a strong teaching statement,
sample course syllabi, teaching evaluations, as well as strong letters of
reference.

The successful candidate will also have an appointment in the Graduate
Department of Linguistics at the University of Toronto.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Applications must include a cover letter, a current curriculum vitae, a
statement outlining current and future research interests, one recent
publication (30 pages max), a teaching dossier, and a 1-2 page statement of
contributions to equity and diversity in research or teaching.

Applicants must also arrange to have three letters of reference sent directly
by the referee via email (on letterhead and signed) to Professor Juvénal
Ndayiragije at the application email below by the closing date.
