Description:

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence at the University of Georgia invites
applications for a full-time Lecturer position starting August 2020.
Responsibilities include supporting our growing student populations by
teaching undergraduate courses and combined undergraduate/graduate courses.
The position is not tenure-track, but the Lecturer will be a valued member of
our faculty and will be encouraged to propose and/or teach a course within the
lecturer’s area of specialization.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive
Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Credentials should reflect a
strong commitment to education.

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence is an interdisciplinary research and
instructional unit within the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and is the
home for the A.B. in Cognitive Science and M.S. in Artificial Intelligence
degrees. AI and Cognitive Science are inherently interdisciplinary fields, and
this is reflected in both the mission and composition of the Institute. Our
Faculty Fellows come from 12 different departments across 5 colleges at UGA,
including Computer Science, Philosophy, Linguistics, Psychology, Public
