Meeting Description:

The Linguistics Department at the University of Florida invites you to attend
the Florida Linguistics Yearly Meeting, to be held March 13-14th, 2020. FLYM
is an annual event which aims to bring together professionals, experts and
graduate students to share current research in Linguistics. This year,
consistent with the strengths of the UF Linguistics Department: the core areas
of linguistics, experimental linguistics, sociolinguistics, and language
documentation, we encourage submission of abstracts in these areas,
particularly those that employ experimental and computational approaches to
address theoretically rigorous questions with real world applications, though
abstracts in other areas are welcome.

Plenary speakers for the conference are: Professor Andries Coetzee (University
of Michigan) and Professor Lawrence Solan (Brooklyn Law School). Please visit
the conference website for more information: https://lin.ufl.edu/flym2020/

Call for Papers:

We invite abstracts for FLYM 2020 for 20-minute oral presentation (plus 10
minutes for discussion) or a poster presentation. Abstracts should not exceed
one page, 12 point single-spaced, with an optional additional page for
references and data. Submissions should be anonymous and submitted through our
EasyAbs portal: http://linguistlist.org/easyabs/FLYM2020
