Description:

The English Department of the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena invites
applications for a PhD position in the area of English linguistics. The
position is initially restricted to three years, but renewable.

The candidate must have an MA in English Linguistics or an equivalent degree
(i.e. in General Linguistics). The position involves work towards a PhD in
English Linguistics, participation in the department’s research activities,
and a teaching load of one class per semester. The language of instruction is
English.

The candidate should have some experience in corpus linguistics (and/or
psycholinguistics) and a background in usage-based linguistics. 

If possible, the position is to be filled on April 1, 2020. Candidates are

filled.
