Meeting Description:

The 43rd Generative Linguistics in the Old World (GLOW) conference will take
place at the Humboldt University of Berlin on March 31 to April 3, 2020. 

In addition to the main session (April 1-April 3, 2020), there will be three
thematic workshops (March 31, 2020): 

Workshop I: Prosody in speech signal, perception and gestures 
Organized by Marzena Zygis (ZAS) and Stefanie Jannedy (ZAS) 

Workshop II: Semantic universals in the modal and attitudinal domain 
Organized by Uli Sauerland (ZAS) and Wataru Uegaki (University of Edinburgh) 

Workshop III: Remarks: the legacy 
Organized by Artemis Alexiadou (Humboldt University of Berlin & ZAS) and Hagit
Borer (Queen Mary University of London)


2nd Call for Papers: 

For the main colloquium which will include a poster session as well, scholars
are invited to submit unpublished papers within all areas of generative
linguistics. Submissions on phonological topics are especially welcome. The
three workshops have their own topic and expect papers relating to them. 

An author may submit a maximum of two abstracts to the main colloquium, only
one of which may be single authored. The same abstract may not be submitted to
both the main colloquium and a workshop. However, the same person may submit
two different single-authored abstracts to the main colloquium and a workshop.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES (main session and workshops): 
Abstracts for the main colloquium and workshops are to be submitted via
Easychair. Please note that the main colloquium and the three workshops each
have their own submission site. 

- Abstracts, including references and data, must not exceed two pages with 1
inch (2.54cm) margins on all sides 
- Font must be set in Times New Roman with a font size no smaller than 12pt.
Font size in displays and references may be smaller. 
- The submission must not reveal the identity of the author(s) in any way.
(Note that files uploaded to Easychair are renamed by the system, but a PDF
file may contain hidden information about its author or creator.)
