Description:

The Department of Modern Foreign Languages of the University of Verona has
opened a position for a senior researcher in Germanic Philology. The position
is provided within an Excellence Project concerning the Digital Humanities
applied to modern foreign languages.
Here below, the description of scientific and didactic activities:  

Scientific Activity:
The senior researcher will carry out the research activity within the
Excellence Project "Le digital humanities applicate alle lingue e letterature
straniere" ("Digital Humanities applied to modern foreign languages"), in the
specific field of Germanic Philology.

The research activity will need specific knowledge in the fields of Germanic
Philology and Digital Humanities for the collaboration to the realisation of
Digital Scholarly Editions of literary works from the Germanic Middle Ages and
to the treatment of bibliographical databases, with a particular attention to
Middle High German and Old Norse and to textual criticism methodologies in
Germanic Philology.

Didactic Activity:
The didactic activity will be carried out within the courses of German
Philology (SSD L-FIL-LET/15).
