Description:

The Collegiate of the stricto sensu Graduate Program in Linguistics in the
Federal University of Juiz de Fora, in exercise of its statutory duties and
powers delegated to it, publicizes the opening of this Public Call for the
Doctorate Degree Course in Linguistics, class starting in 2020.

For the selective process for the Doctorate Degree Course in Linguistics 2020,
up to 16 (sixteen) openings will be offered.

The candidates who wish to apply must possess an undergraduate diploma
acknowledged by MEC or, in the case of a foreign student, a diploma
acknowledged by the competent organizations on their country.

Applications will be received from 5:00 PM, 09/09/2019 until 4:59 PM,
07/10/2019. Candidates must fill in the electronic form available at
www.ufjf.br/ppglinguistica, free of charge.

The selection process for the Doctorate Degree Course of the stricto sensu
Graduate Program in Linguistics of UFJF - 2020 - will be carried out in four
stages:
Stage 1: Proficiency Exam(s) in:
- Reading in English, for all candidates except those who were approved in
Reading in English in the Master course and/or those who were dismisses from
the exam by presenting, then, documental proof of English proficiency;
- Reading in a second foreign Language: Spanish, French, or Latin;
- Reading and writing in Portuguese, exclusively for deaf candidates;
- Reading and writing in Portuguese, exclusively for foreign candidates whose
L1 is not Portuguese
Stage 2: Analysis of preliminary research Project by Research Line;
Stage 3: Analysis of preliminary research Project by the requested Advisor; 
Stage 4: Interview.
